Uganda: Katogo Promises the Best At Purple Party

The word katogo is basically attributed to a variety of foods.

But when someone is talking about music, the first thing that comes to mind is the popular show on Record TV called Katogo. This music show, hosted by Douglas Lwanga, has for the past five years created a platform for Ugandan artistes to promote their music videos and talent. It is also a show with a no-holds-barred approach while relaying the news and gossip within the music industry.

This Saturday, December 29, Katogo will be celebrating its fifth birthday.

"All the Katogo fans will be treated to a red carpet reception at The Bull Dog bar in Wandegeya in our end-of-year 'Purple party'," said Lwanga, the Katogo host.

For a programme that has contributed a lot to Uganda's music industry, many artistes are expected to attend the party and also entertain the guests. "Many fans have longed to meet Douglas, their presenter. The purple party has brought this opportunity to them," added Lwanga.
