Angola: Cabinet Council Approves Funding Plan for January 2013

Luanda — The Economic Commission of the Cabinet Council Thursday in Luanda approved the Funding Plan for January 2013, which comprises revenues of AKZ 298.9 billion and expenses estimated at AKZ 192.5 billion.

The figures were disclosed by the Finance Minister Carlos Alberto Lopes in a press conference held at the end of the 1st extraordinary session of the commission, chaired by the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos.

According to the Cabinet minister, the approved Funding Plan will ensure the implementation of the regular budget in all its categories and expenses during the month of January next year.

The minister ruled out any constraints in implementing the budget for all categories and expenses.

According to him, the component of salary for civil services absorbs 43 percent of global spending contained in the Funding Plan.

The meeting was attended by the Vice-President, Ministers of Finance, Planning and Territorial Development, Trade, Public Administration, Employment and Social Security.

Governor of National Reserve Bank among other officials of the Presidency also attended the event.
