Angola: '4 De Fevereiro' Avenue Hosts Fireworks Festival

Luanda — Luanda's "4 de Fevereiro" Avenue (Marginal) in the urban district of Ingombota is the venue selected to host the fireworks festival on New Year's Eve from 31 December 2012 to 1 January 2013.

The decision follows a meeting held by the Administrative Commission of Luanda City (CACL) chaired by its chairperson, José Tavares Ferreira.

The event gathered acting administrators of urban districts, their representatives and the directors from various divisions of the institution.

Speaking to the press, the director of the Press Office of CACL, João Dombaxe Sebastiao said that they are awaiting the other proposals on the possibility the fireworks festival to be held in other districts should they offer adequate and safe spaces for this purpose.
