Angola: Huambo Vice Governor Wants More Work for Sports Development

Huambo — The vice governor of the central Huambo province for political and social affairs, Gilberto Tukuka, on Thursday here called on the associations of the region to work more and more in the development of sports, so as to turn the province into a national reference in medium term.

He said so when speaking at the homage ceremony of the Judo fighter Idalina Roa da Fonseca and the paralympic athlete Severina Cassing for their participation in the fifth SADC games, held on December 04-17 in Zambia.

Guilherme Tuluka also said that the two medals won by Idalina Fonseca and the three silver medal got by Severina Cassinda, in 100, 200 and 400 metres raised the responsibilities of working harder so that Huambo province may continue to participate in international competitions.
