Gambia: Yusupha Dibba Is New PS Foreign Affairs

The Point has learnt through impeccable sources that Yusupha Dibba, Gambia's ambassador to Cuba, has been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary No.1 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dibba, who once served as Director General of the MDI and Permanent Secretary at several ministries, including the Ministry of Higher Education, replaced Momodou Aki Bayo, who was recently appointed as new Minister of Regional Administration, Lands and Traditional Rulers.

Mariama Ndure Njie who was at the Gambia's embassy in Taiwan has been appointed as Permanent Secretary No.2 at the Foreign Affairs ministry, sources added.

In a related development, Matty Boye has also been appointed as the new Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, while Bully Darboe is the new Deputy Permanent Secretary at the same ministry.

The two replaced Makie Taal and Dr Omar Sey respectively, who were both recently removed from their positions.
