Egypt: PM to Kharafi Group - Government Keen to Remove Difficulties Facing Serious Investors

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil on Thursday 27/12/2012 met with representatives of Kharafi Group, one of the major companies in the Arab world.

The meeting was attended by ministers of finance, investment, petroleum and industry.

During the meeting, Talal el-Kharafi gave a presentation on the position of the group in Egypt. El-Kharafi said that the group expanded its projects by EGP 2 billion as 5000 Egyptians work in them.

The group also is expanding its work in the field of tourism in Marsa Alam city, he said. It also operates the second line of a cement factory in Assiut governorate, he added.

The premier asserted that the government is keen on removing any difficulties facing serious investors.

The Group is over 100 years old with interests in engineering and construction; food industries and agribusiness; banking and investment; manufacturing and industry; real estate and infrastructure development; tourism, leisure and hospitality; and aviation services.
