Kenya: State to Settle Displaced Citizens By March

Head of Civil Service Francis Kimemia has said the government has spent Sh11 billion to resettle the 2007-08 post-election violence IDPs. Kimemia said the remaining IDPs will be resettled before the March 4 elections. "Its a government commitment to complete the exercise ahead of the elections," he said.

He was speaking during a tour of areas where IDPs have been resettled in Rift Valley. He donated food stuffs and other items to the families in Burnt Forest, Chemusian Farm and Njoro.
