Zambia: Miss, Mr Sugo 2012 Crowned

MARY Mulenga and Kennedy Malasha, both 20 years of age are the newly crowned first ever Mr and Miss Sugo 2012, organised by Zambia's top makeup artiste Bwalya Nawa.

Mary Mulenga was a proud winner of a six month fully paid job contract with Mac recruitment and may end up landing an extension depending on how she performs in the given six months.

Explaining her winning formula, Mary could only say: "I did not mind or look at who was competing with me, I could only see

myself winning and I just did... no matter how rocky my path may be, I have made it a point in my life that nothing should block my progress that leads to my life goals," she goes on to say:

"I am not just a model for the face and fame; I have to be a model with brains to help shape the destiny of our nation, and be an example to other youths"

As for her counterpart Kennedy who walked away with a scholarship to Cavendish University to study Business Administration, he says self confidence way the key to his success.

Babbling with confidence and joy, Kennedy says his self esteem and confidence levels have gone high and that he is proud for the achievement which he describes as one that has come at a very right time.

His younger sister Doris, could not just hide her joy to Zamtel Entertainment as she said her brother was a good example of focused and detained youth who she says is worth emulating.

The colorful and tightly contested show that was also attended by National Restoration Party president Elias Chipimo Jr, was held at International School of Lusaka recently.

Zambia's top and award winning artists in the likes of JK and Salma Dodia were a major spectacle at the event; undoubtedly adding spender to the show. Other artists that made great presence at the show were rap star Secrets, and upcoming artist Maria.

Bwalya was in search of two smart, intelligent, and focused male and female school levers to empower through a scholarship and a job and it could only turn out to be Kennedy and Mary! What is Bwalya up to now after the successful hosting of the first ever Miss & Mr Sugo? 2013 might have the answer as she says: "Watch me!"
