Tunisia: NCA Passes President of the Republic's Budget

Bardo — During a plenary session, some 86 members of the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) out of a total of 125 approved the amended version of the Presidency of the Republic's budget, reduced from 79.303 million Tunisian dinars (MD) to 76.937 MTD, i.e 2.333 MTD less.

Then, the NCA approved the first nine articles of finance law for 2013. It had already approved, during a previous plenary session, the other articles (from 10 to 74) except article 75 whose adoption was delayed after the examination of the proposals for the insertion of additional articles to the finance act.

NCA speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar had announced at the beginning of the session, that 4 deputies joined the democratic pole namely Fatma El Gharbi, Salma Mabrouk, Ali Ben Cherifa and Slim Abdessalem.

Another deputy Tarek Abidi joined the Ettakattol party, he also announced.
