Luanda — The Spanish ocean patrolling ship called "Bam Relâmpago" is expected to call Angolan on 1-3 January 2013, aiming to improve cooperation between the navies of the two countries.
The ship is sailing back to Spain after completing its first operational action abroad, which aimed to combat piracy on the Indian Ocean, by participating in the Atalanta Operation under the European Flag since 17 August 2012.
The ship is calling various Ports of Africa, so as to highlight the understanding with friendly countries and strengthen cooperation in maritime security with African navies, having already been to Mozambique, South Africa and Namibia.
