Angola: Health Sector Sets Logistic Re-Organisation As Priorities for 2013

Luanda — The re-organisation of logistics with disposable materials and equipment, promotion of partnerships with international institutions and network of care for the elderly people is one of the guidelines of the Provincial Health Department of Luanda.

This was said by the director of health sector, Rosa Bessa, when speaking on Friday at the year-end greeting ceremony.

According to the official, the agenda also included the creation of a network of urgent and emergency of care for external causes and events related to the road accidents, vaccination campaigns for eradication of polio, tetanus and other diseases.

The fighting against endemic diseases, special attention to women and children, in order to reduce child, maternal and neonatal mortality, greater attention to diabetes and cancer, training, better use and redistribution of staff are also part of the priorities for 2013.
