Algeria Applies to Host 2019 CAN

Algeria will file its candidacy to host the 2019 CAN, Algerian Football Federation (FAF) president Mohamed Raouraoua announced at a press conference on Saturday (December 29th). South Africa hosts the 2013 CAN January 19th-February 10th, while the 2015 edition is slated for Morocco.

"The 2017 CAN has been officially entrusted to Libya, and we do not have the right to apply for the organisation," Raouraoua said.

Algeria hosted the tournament only once, in 1990, when the Greens beat Nigeria 1-0 in the final. PARAGRAPH
