Libya: Two Egyptians Dead in Libya Coptic Church Bombing

Death toll in the bomb attack on a Coptic Orthodox church in Libya's Mesrata City late Saturday rose to two people after one of the three wounded in the attack died.

The other two Egyptians are in a stable condition, Pope Timothy Beshara of Libya's Egyptian Orthodox Church on Sunday told the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

The church's service centre was completely demolished after the bombing, Pope Beshara added.

Libyan politicians and security officials expressed their outrage over the attack and vowed to tighten security on Egyptian churches in Libya, the pope said.

Unknown assailants threw on Saturday a homemade grenade at the church's service centre.
