Kenya: Kibaki Makes Kibosia Full CEO of Moi Hospital

President Kibaki has confirmed Dr John Kibosia as the CEO of the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.Kibosia will now head Kenya's second largest for three years, begining December 14.

"I thank the President for the honour and trust he has accorded me. I will strive to serve Kenyans to the best of my ability," Kibosia told the Star yesterday.

He was appointed to head the hospital, as acting director, after it almost collapsed due to mismanagement and poor administration.Prior to his appointment, Kibosia was the medical superintendent in charge of the Kenya Prisons Department.

He has turned around operations at the hospital, raising its revenues through cost sharing from near zero to a monthly average of Sh 60 million.
