Kenya: Oburu Helps Pumwani Grab Kothbiro Cup Point

Former Harambee Stars, Sofapaka and Sony Sugar goalkeeper Wilson Oburu scored to help Pumwani Sportiff fight from a goal down to settle for a 1-1 draw with Ziwani's Mashteam FC in the on-going Kothbiro football tournament played at the Nairobi Technical school grounds.

Mashteam took the after 20 minutes through Stephen Ogos who capitalised on poor defending to slam the ball home. Pumwani however, waged attack after attack in search of the equaliser and their efforts paid dividends late in the second half when Oburu, recently signed by another Kenya Premier Leageu side Bandari equalised with a superb volley.

In another matchPelico Ngara were held to a 1-1 draw by "Help them Lord" from Kibera. Edwin Shikanda gave the Kibera side the lead in the 26th minute with a brilliant strike from a goal mouth melee before Eddy Agina pulled one back for Pelico.
