Sudan: SLM-AW - 'Air Strike West Jebel Marra Kills Two'

El Geneina — The Sudan Liberation Movement integrated in the Sudan Revolutionary Front led by Abdel Wahid announced on Sunday, 30 December, that the movement is in the process of establishing a civil administration for the Jildu military area and its surroundings which was seized by the SRF troops on Friday.

Mustafa Tambour, the movement's military spokesman, told Radio Dabanga that the casualties on the government side amounted to 73. The spokesman added that the movement seized about 65 Land Cruiser vehicles, 67 Dushka weapons and 2 Katyusha rockets as well as 117 boxes of ammunition.

Moreover, Tambour claimed that an air strike was carried out by the Sudan Armed Forces on Saturday in villages in West Jebel Marra. He added that an Antonov plane dropped around 22 bombs, killing 2 children and burning a large number of homes in the area.
