Angola: Minister Satisfied At Condition of Yearend Race Course

Luanda — The Angolan minister of Youth and Sports, Gonçalves Muandumba, on Friday here manifested his satisfaction at the condition of the yearend footrace course, a competition scheduled to take place on December 31, in Luanda City.

The minister manifested his satisfaction in the end of an assessment he made to the course of the race, in the company of the provincial governor of Luanda, Bento Bento, and the technical commissions of the Angolan Athletics Federation.

According to the minister, the commitment of the Provincial Government was crucial because most of the streets through which the race will pass have been repaired, with only a few sections left to be concluded on Saturday.

According to him, Luanda's Saint Sylvester Race is an international reference, reason why there is a great concern about creating the appropriate conditions for this competition to take place.

Gonçalves Muandumba also appealed to the citizens to abide by the instructions being given by the organisers of the event, such as not parking vehicles in the streets that are part of the race course.
