Nigeria: Adamawa PDP Defies Nyako, Holds Congresses Amidst Controversy

Yola — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State has defied the ban by Governor Murtala Nyako on all forms of political activities and held its ward congresses.

The ban by the governor is believed to be a move to forestall the ward, local government and state congresses of the PDP slated for December 27, 2012, January 3, 2013 and January 8, 2013 respectively.
