Nigeria: Zamfara Provides Medical Equipment to Specialist Hospital

The Zamfara Government on Friday suplied medical equipment worth millions of naira to the newly inaugurated Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Bello Kwatarkwashi, made this known to newsmen in Gusau.

Kwatarkwashi said the items include surgical equipment, special beds for intensive care units and a large number of parameters.

He said other items include blood and suger monitoring instruments, radiotic incubators and cardiology machines for heart diseases.

The director pledged to ensure that all the equipment were properly used to achieve standard healthcare delivery in the state.

"God willing, the hospital will commence operation in January 2013," he said.

He commended the State Government for giving the hospital the necessary support and cooperation to enable it deliver effective services. NAN
