Angola: 1º De Agosto Club Launches Magazine

Luanda — A magazine that will promote the activities and conquests of 1º de Agosto Club, as well as provide information about the sponsors of the institution, was launched last Friday in Luanda.

The 63-page magazine, entitled "Revista D'Agosto", will be coming out every three months, with the first edition bringing as highlight an honourable mention given to the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, for the special attention he has paid to the development of Angolan sports.

With 3.500 copies placed in the market, this edition brings an editorial with the title "Angola's greatest club set to conquer Africa", which is signed by the club's chairman, Carlos Hendrick.

This edition closes with a text that focuses on veteran players of 1º de Agosto, in different disciplines.

The club was founded on 01 August 1977.
