Angola: Cabinda Governor Checks Energy, Waters Sector

Cabinda — The provincial governor of Cabinda, Aldina Matilde da Lomba, paid on Friday a visit to checked the Malembo Thermal Station and the Water Treatment company (ETA 2).

The official told the press, at the end of the assessment visit, that she was satisfied with the performance of enterprises related to the sector of energy and water, as well as with the guarantees and explanations she received from the heads of the respective areas.

The head of the department of water in Cabinda, Tiago Clemente, said he has a stock of chemicals for water treatment, which will last until the first three months of 2013.

The director of the National Electricity Company (ENE) in Cabinda, Arão Bamana, said that the Power Station has its two turbines operating fully, jointly producing 70 megawatts of power.

According to the director, the central is prepared to supply electricity on a regular basis and with quality to the population throughout the yearend festivities.
