LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group Executive Director (GED) Chief Micheal Okpere yesterday emerged as the runners up gross under the category 3 of the handicap 15-28 at the just concluded Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) 9th open golf sponsored tournament.
At the end of the tournament which took place at the Kaduna golf club, B. Abdullahi of the Zaria golf club emerged the best gross winner in the 2-day event.
Other winners include longest drive hole 7 in the women category won by Amina Wilfred from IBB golf club, nearness to the pin hole 6 won by T. Ihember form Zaria golf club, while in the men's category, Ahmed Abdullahi from Zaria golf club and Abdullahi Dahiru also from Zaria golf club emerged as longest drive and nearness to the pin winners respectively.
In the 0-28 ladies categories, Vera David and T. Ihember emerged runners up nett and best nett respectively while Grace Yanet and Racheal Danjuma emerged runners up gross and best gross winners in the same category.
In the veteran's category, Yero Shehu and Jagua Adamu from Zaria golf club emerged runners up nett and runners up gross winners, while Frank onotu from Kaduna golf club and Musa Yaro from Kano golf club emerged as Best nett and best gross winners respectively.
Ven Eze of the Kaduna golf club and S. Abubakar of Bauchi golf club emerged as the runners up nett and best nett winners in the category 3 handicapp 15-28, while LEADERSHIP GED Micheal Okpere and His Royal Highness Dr Harison Bungun also of Kaduna golf club emerged as runners up gross and best gross winners respectively.
In the KRPC player's category, Abubakar Mahdi and Adamu Garba emerged as runners up gross and best gross winners respectively, while in the handicap 6-14 Iliya Jibrin of Zaria golf club won the runners nett and Timothy Thomas of the NDA golf club won the best nett.
