The much talked about five-day football tournament officially kicked off on Wednesday this week at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia with some top flight clubs in Liberian football taking early exit.
In match day one, LPRC Oilers strangulated Watanga FC in the opening match with a 3-0 victory and the late evening game saw Liberia premiership back-to-back champions LISCR FC hammering Invincible Eleven 4-0 at the same venue that means both Watanga and IE are out of the tourney.
Yesterday fixtures which were on match day two results did not come until press time.
These fixtures saw Nimba United FC played host to Senior Pro, while Aries FC (co-host) rubbed shoulders with USA based Minnesota FC and Liberian Diaspora International (co-host) climaxed the day action with BYC.

Meanwhile, the quarter final matches are expected to start today and the semi final battles earmarked for the following day, while the grand finale is Sunday December 30, 2012 and all games are expected to be played at the ATS.
The competition is being organized by Aries FC, a second division club in collaboration with Liberians Diaspora International including European based Liberians to raise funding in support of the construction of Liberia 1st football camp that is expected to be situated in the Soul Clinic Community in Paynesville a site owned by Aries Sports Association.
The construction process on a land area about 4.23 acres is said to have been bought about 18 years ago for use as a football camp in the country is expected to shortly begin.
Fund raised from the tournament, the organized noted that it will go toward the t US$1.6 million project.
The ongoing event will be another opportunity for football supporters in the country to see some of the country's brightest talents since the climax of the 2011/2012 local league including Liberian based both in Europe and the USA. The weeklong tourney is also part of the festive season celebration in the country.
