Angola: National Police Commander Considers 2012 Positive Year

Luanda — The year 2012 was positive in terms of maintenance of order and public tranquillity in the country, considered Sunday in Luanda the commander of the National Police, Ambrósio de Lemos.

Speaking at the end of the year meeting with top officials of the police, Commissioner Ambrósio de Lemos, stressed that the National Police managed to implement their activities with success in 2012, especially during the general elections held in the country.

In a brief statement, Ambrósio de Lemos said that 2013 will be a year of greater responsibility for the police, since, together with members of his management and staff, he will do everything to fight crime and ensure greater peace and security for the population.

Moreover, in an end of year message read by the inspector-general of the National Police, Chief Commissioner Salvador Rodrigues praised the efforts of Commissioner Ambrósio de Lemos, for strengthening the institution.
