Liberia: Kanvee's Ministry Attracts U.S.$40 Million

The Kanvee Gaines-Adams Ministry is moving beyond administering the Gospel through its award-winning songs.

The successful Gospel star and her Ministry have also stretched wings to attracting a United States based-investment group to contribute to Liberia's human resource development.

Mr. Ashley Chambers, President of the Socio-Economic Development and Planning (SEDAP), told journalists over the weekend that his organization is currently accessing investment opportunities in the country and is prepared to pump an initial capital of US$40 million in the areas of agriculture, energy and other sectors.

Mr. Chambers, who is a special guest of the Kanvee Adams Ministry, disclosed that he has already held successful discussions with authorities of the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC), ahead of other scheduled meetings with Agriculture Minister, Dr. Florence Chenoweth, and authorities of the Ministry of Lands, Mines, and Energy, among other public entities as part of a three-week assessment tour.

"We've heard about your war and the sufferings you've been through. I think you're still feeling the bad effects of it", Mr. Chambers said on Friday at a dinner held at the home of the Gospel icon.

The Jamaican-US based investor also disclosed that he chose Liberia over his native Jamaica because the average per capital income of Liberians are very small and that Jamaica owes its ancestry to the continent of Africa.

"After these assessments, SEDAP wants to improve your income through agriculture, health, education and other sectors", the businessman said.

The connection between the Liberian based-Gospel Ministry and the US-based investment group was made during the award-winning Gospel artist's recent global tours that included the US.

Mr. Chambers said his group chose to collaborate with the Gospel group because, according to him, it is better to invest alongside a Gospel group which has the fear of God in a country whose foundation he said was established on religious principles.

Mr. Emmanuel Adams, manager and husband of artist Kanvee has been chosen as the local manager of SEDAP in Liberia.

How can this so called businessman Mr. Ashley Chambers be offering to invest $40 million in Liberia when is company wouldnt even come up in a google.com search. I honestly think he may be a fraud. His company doesnt even have a website or a business contact information. In the US, in order to find out before the legitimacy of any given companies, its worth the while to do a quick google research on the company. After reading the article and doing some research on google about the company legitimacy, i only came up with an phoney address in Nine Mile Falls, WASHINGTON, USA and when i called the telephone number they had listed, the number was disconnected.
