Gambia: Central FC Through to Last Four of New Yundum Football Tourney

The ongoing New Yundum football tournament sponsored by His Excellency Ansumana Jammeh, The Gambia's ambassador to Qatar, continues to gather pace.

Central FC made sure of their passage to the semifinals of the competition after finishing their group campaign with eight points. It means New Site who secured a point less from the group were eliminated from the competition. Ansumana Danpha scored to open the scores for New Site in the 26th minutes, but Lamin Bojang got the equaliser for Central in the 34thminute.

Five yellow cards were dished out to both teams, with Ansumana Dampah, Lamin Sanneh and Abdoulie Saho all given cautions in quick succession for New Site while Ebrima Dampha and Ansumana Kujabi were booked for Central. Both sides continued their search for the winner but the game eventually ended in a 1-1 draw.
