Kenya: WomenEnterprise Fund Gets Sh2.8 Billion

Women Enterprise Fund has disbursed Sh2.8 billion to women since its inception, CEO Samuel Wainaina has said. Wainaina said the fund has benefited more than 680,000 women.

He made the remarks in Kitale at the weekend after issuing cheques for Sh1.7 million to 33 women groups of Saboti constituency. Wainaina said 85 per cent of women who took the money were are now repaying it.

He said women from Saboti constituency have so far received sh.8.4 million which has benefited 161 women groups in the constituency.
