Angola: Election of New Religious Official Marks Activities in 2012

Luanda — The election of the new secretary general of the Council of Christian Churches of Angola (CICA), Reverend Deolinda Teca, in replacement of Luis Nguimbi, was the limelight of the year 2012 for the institutions.

Deolinda Teca attended primary education in northern Uige province. She graduated in pedagogy by the faculty of Business and economics sciences, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

During her mandate, she will give priority to matters such as gender equity, capacity-building of the theological institutions, updating of religious leaders, as well as fight against prostitution and drugs.
