Luanda — Winning the Angola Cup, ten years after, after the return to a competition of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) are the main highlights of Petro de Luanda club during the current season.
With 15 titles on its shelves and being the team that won the most titles in the national first division football championship (Girabola), Petro won the Angola Cup and occupied the third spot in the first division.
Petro de Luanda faced Recreativo da Caála in the Cup final that was played at "11 de Novembro" national stadium.
Petro's striker Mabululu secured the title by scoring two goals at an encounter in which he was part of the first eleven, to the contrary of other matches in which he was a substitute and most of the times not even selected.
With 14 wins, 12 draws, four defeats and 53 points, Petro de Luanda occupied the third position of the first division standings, having scored 34 goals and suffered 15.
