Angola: Defence Minister Sends Seasons Compliments to Head of State

Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, received a message from National Defence minister Cândido Pereira Van-Dúnem, in the ambit of the yearend celebrations.

On the letter, to which ANGOP had access on Monday, the Defence minister states that the Republic of Angola, under the wise and clear-sighted leadership of the Angolan Head of State, has been taking significant steps towards political stability, consolidation of the democratic process, national reconciliation and cohesion.

"Today, in all sectors of national life we can see achievements that have great economic and social impact, in an unequivocal proof that Angolans can continue to trust the Executive led by the President of the Republic", reads the message.

He also stressed that "concerning the tasks of materialising the reform programme on the sectors of national defence and security, we'll continue to face this challenge with patriotism, commitment and diligence".
