Uganda: Kampala Central Lawmaker Released On Bail

The Chief Magistrate has released the controversial National Resistance Movement (NRM) MP for Kampala Central Mohamed Nsereko who was remanded in Tororo on bail.

Nebanda's mother consoled Nsereko who was recently arrested over the utterances he made concerning the death of the youthful Butaleja woman MP Cerinah Nebanda Arioru.

Two MPs that include; Nathan Nandala Mafabi from Budadiri West also the leader of opposition in parliament and Emmanuel Ddombo stood surety for Nsereko after paying Shs5m each not cash while Nsereko paid Shs500,000 cash.

The Tororo High Court compound was fully parked with cars that belonged to relatives, friends and his fellow MPs such as Geoffrey Ekanya, Gerald Karuhanga among others.

While at court, Nsereko was seen holding a historic book that whose author is the former president of South Africa Nelson Mandela, 'The Long Walk to Freedom'.

Mandela fought for the independence for his country South Africa; however, before independence that was attained in 1994, he had served 27 years in prison.
