Mauritania: RFD Reaffirms Support to Saharawi People's Right to Self-Determination

Nouakchott — The President of the National Youth Organization of the Mauritanian Rally of Democratic Forces (RFD) Cheikh Sid'Ahmed Aida has reiterated his party's commitment to the inalienable right of the Saharawi people to self-determination and independence, in a meeting with the Secretary General of the Saharawi Students Union Ahmed Lehbib Abdi.

The Mauritanian official recalled to the "consistent position of the Mauritanian Rally of Democratic Forces with all oppressed peoples in the world, especially those related to Mauritania by bonds of religion, brotherhood and common history."

From his part the Saharawi official thanked the RFD's National Youth Organization for this first political meeting that brings its leadership together with other political side, speaking about the injustice and oppression suffered by the Saharawi people for over 37 years.
