Eritrea: Seminar For Juvenile Students Conducted

Adi-Quala — A seminar as regards law has been conducted to juvenile students in Adi-Quala sub-zone with a view to enhancing their awareness in this regard.

Heading the seminar in which 4,500 persons participated, Lt. Haregu Mengisteab, Commander of Police in the sub-zone, indicated that integrated endeavors are being exerted with a view to combating instances of crime. She further pointed out that raising juvenile awareness regarding law is a vital prerequisite to this end. She also called on the students to refrain from situations that lead to criminal acts.

The participants on their part expressed satisfaction with the seminar.

Meanwhile, the NUEYS branch office in the Southern region extended books to the new Junior and Secondary School in Biet-Gebriel village, according to Mr. Amanuel Asmelash, the school director.

The inhabitants of the area said that the availability of such facility attests to the Government's commitment to rural development, and voiced readiness to extend the necessary support to the school.
