Eritrea: Teaching-Learning Process Pushed

Barentu — The Education Ministry's branch in Gash-Barka region has called on pertinent bodies to enhance integrated endeavors regarding reinforcement of the teaching-learning process. It made the call at an assessment meeting conducted in Barentu city, in which junior education was mainly targeted vis-à-vis this year's General Examination results.

Mr. Mohammed-Ali Ibrahim, head of the branch office, said that the opening of numerous schools in remote areas attests to the substantial investment the Government is making to promote the sector, and that current focus of the Ministry targets attaining the higher possible level of student registration and the nurturing of competent students.

The Administrator of Gash-Barka region, Mr. Mohammed Hamd, explained that it would step up efforts towards popularizing community-based style of living, in addition to renovation of schools. Likewise, the Minister of Education, Mr. Semere Rusom, indicated that the cherished goal could be attained only through integrated efforts and community participation.
