Uganda: President Wishes Ugandans Happy 2013

President Yoweri Museveni has congratulated Ugandan upon completing 2012 and wished them a prosperous new 2013.

In his New Year message, the President said: "I greet all of you and congratulate you on finishing 2012 and wish you a prosperous 2013. I extend condolences to the families who lost their dear ones in the year that is just ended."

The President noted that the years 2011 and 2012 were full of economic challenges but were also full of economic opportunities for Uganda.

He attributed the economic challenges partly to global financial crisis in Europe and the USA.
