Kenya: Women's Basketball Ranked 73rd

KENYA are ranked 73rd in the world in the women's category according to the latest rankings released by International Basketball Federation (FIBA).The men, however, are not ranked with Angola taking the top spot in Africa.

The rankings released after the 2012 London Olympics have USA women as number one, Australia are second while Russia come third.The top ranked African women's team are Mali who are 17th in the world.

Senegal are second while Angola who were Africa's representative in the Summer Olympic Games are third. Rwanda ranked at number 10 in the continent lead the region.

Kenya last participated in the Africa championships in Dakar, Senegal in 2007 where they finished last. The men have yet to feature in any continental spectacle since hosting the show in 1993 where they were fourth. Angola leads Africa in the men category with Nigeria second and Tunisia, who was in the London Games third.
