Ahmed Shide, state minister of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED) and Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia Hiroyuki Kishino signed a 105.4 million Br grant agreement last week at the headquarters of MoFED.
During the signing ceremony, Kishino said Japan had extended the grant-in-aid as part of its support to the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP), which has set a projected average annual growth rate of 8.6pc for agriculture for five years from 2010/11.
