The Algerian men's handball team fell to Slovenia 20-19 on Sunday (December 30th) in a friendly. The Greens will play friendlies against Norway and Saudi Arabia before heading to Spain for the World Handball Championship, which begins on January 11th.
In another practice friendly on Saturday, Tunisia lost to hosts Iceland 24-34.
In Spain, Tunisia will join France, Germany, Montenegro, Brazil and Argentina in Group A. Algeria are in Group D with Egypt, Australia, Hungary, Croatia and the event hosts.
