Tension and fear has gripped communities of Tanadelta district following fresh threats of attacks reported in the area. The threats are said to be heard from both the Pokomo and Orma communities.

Tanadelta District Commissioner David Kiprop yesterday confirmed the threats saying a number of villages were allegedly reported to be targeted from both sides in retaliatory attacks.

Speaking on phone, he said his officers are on high alert, constantly conducting raids in the areas that are under threat of attacks.

He said they had also dispatched officers to areas mentioned and others which are prone to attacks in order to counter any violence that is being planned.
