Kenya: 11 Die in Salgaa Accident

Kenyan roads claim over 40 lives since dawn of the new year.

Eleven people have died in a road accident involving a bus,a trailer and a 14 seater matatu at Salgaa area along the Nakuru - Eldoret highway. The Kenya red cross says 4 are in critical condition,while many others are injured. Rift Valley provincial traffic officer Mary Omari blamed the accident on the matatu's high speed and appealed to drivers to observe the newly enacted traffic laws.
