Kenya: County Chief Seeks Boundary

West Pokot county commissioner has asked the government to to establish the true boundary between the Pokot and Turkana. Okwanyo said it's only way to end the frequent attacks between the two communities. Okwanyo said a commission should be formed after the next general elections for this purpose.

"If the commission is formed before the next government the politician can us it a s a political platform," he said. The county commissioner stressed that for the two communities to coexist the government should demarcated the boundary.

He hailed peace actors in the county for helping security personnel in helping to ensure that the residents stay in peace and harmony.
