Kenya: Mob Razes Suspected Killers House

Residents of irati village in Kigumo, Murang'a county at the weekend set ablaze a house of a 25-year-old rape and murder suspect. The man was suspected of being involved with the rape and murder of 51-year-old mother of one who was killed over festive season.

According to the area village elder Margret Wangari Nduati, the residents got suspicious when the alleged killer disappeared after learning from the police that pictures taken by police at the scene of crime would and used to help catch the killer.

A man hunt for the suspect was launched land hew wasa arrested days later and frog marched to his hide out where some of the items believed to have been stolen from from the house of the deceased woman were recovered. The goods were identified by the deceased brother Patrick Gachunga.
