Luanda — The first edition award of the Daily Newspaper of Jornal de Angola distinguished the Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, Angop has learnt on Monday.

According to a press note from the newspaper, the award was attributed to the statesman so as to acknowledge his contribution to the development of press in Angola, consolidation of national independence, defence of national integrity, promotion and defence of human rights, projection of Angola in the international community and efforts for peace and stability in Africa and world.
