Rabat  — On the occasion of the new year 2013, HM King Mohammed VI sent congratulatory messages to the heads of state and government of sister and friendly countries that celebrate this occasion.

HM the King expressed his heartfelt wishes for health and happiness to the leaders of those countries and for further progress and prosperity to their peoples.

The new year is an opportunity to "think back, with confidence and optimism, to the events that have marked the year 2012. We keep in mind the swift, various changes that occurred in the year, as well as the major development, security and environmental challenges that have variably impacted the lives of peoples and international relations," the Sovereign said.

He voiced hope that the new year will offer further opportunities to fulfil the legitimate expectations of the entire mankind.
