Egypt: Morsi - Gulf, Arab Security Integral Part of Egypt's Security

President Mohamed Morsi met on Sunday 30/12/2012 with a host of Arab media figures partaking in an Arab forum in Cairo.

During the meeting, Morsi said that the security of the Gulf and Arab countries is an integral part of Egypt's security.

Morsi stressed the importance of the role played by Arab media to raise awareness among the peoples and to empower the Arab world.

The Arab media has a significant role to mobilize human and financial resources to help the Arab world achieve its goals, Morsi said.

The president also voiced his readiness to sponsor a conference on Arab media for Arab media professionals to discuss how they can utilize their message.

Morsi stressed that the political integration must precede everything, adding that the homogenized political action is a step that can be achieved quickly, although it needs great efforts, especially in this atmosphere and rapid changes.

Morsi added that we, as Arabs, seek the stability of this region including economic, cultural, psychological and security stability.

The President said that the economic stability also needs integration in the light of the resources, production and the Common Market, adding that the cultural stability is no less important than the other fields.
