Egypt: Prime Minister Denies Differences With Presidency Over New Ministers

Prime Minister Hisham Qandil denied differences with the Presidency over the choice of new ministers.

In statements on the sidelines of inaugurating the first stage of the southern part of the regional ring road on Tuesday 1/1/2013, Qandil said there is constant consultation with President Mohamed Morsi regarding the selection of the new ministers and all other issues.

Daily contacts are held in this regard, he said, adding that the Presidency and the Cabinet are always cooperating and coordinating together concerning all matters.

Qandil said the Cabinet reshuffle will be announced very soon, adding it will not hinder the incumbent government from doing its job.

The ministers are working regularly, the premier said, denying claims that the new Cabinet line-up will include businessmen.
