Egypt: Nation Participates in Opening of Sudan's Roseires Dam

Minister of Water Resources Mohamed Bahaa-Eddin considered the heightening of Sudan's Roseires Dam as "a historical achievement."

Attending celebrations marking Sudan's independence and the inauguration of the renovated Roseires Dam on Tuesday 1/1/2013, Bahaa-Eddin said the heightening of the Dam will largely support development projects in Sudan.

He added that cooperation between Egypt and Sudan will be furthered in the coming period with the Egyptian and Sudanese leaders agreeing on the importance of integration for the best interest of the two nations.
