Egypt: El-Sisi - Armed Forces Not to Allow Targeting Security, Safety of Suez Canal

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Defense Minister General Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi has asserted the Armed Forces will never allow targeting the security and safety of Suez Canal which is one of the major cornerstones of the Egyptian national security.

The Egyptian national, patriotic army has defended the country in very hard times throughout history, said Sisi while attending training phases of units of the Second Field Army and inspecting security posts east and west of the Suez Canal on Tuesday 1/1/2013.

All branches of the Armed Forces work together to achieve the main target of defending the homeland, he said, adding serious training and combat efficiency is a sacred mission to protect the nation and all Egyptian citizens.

During a meeting with a number of commanders, officers and soldiers, Sisi hailed the national role of the troops in protecting the country.
