Angola: Sacred Heart Parish Gets New Leading Priest

Benguela — The Sagrado Coração de Jesus (Sacred Heart of Jesus) Parish, in Lobito City, central Benguela Province, last weekend welcomed a new parishioner, Adriano Ukwatchali, in replacement of priest Alberto Mandavili.

The parishioner was inaugurated by the retired bishop of the Benguela Diocese, Óscar Braga, who conducted the mass.

Speaking to ANGOP, the new parishioner said he will continue to elevate the message of Christ, having called on the church to build a true community so that he can be a good priest.

Priest Adriano Ukwatchali served for sixteen years as parishoner at the Chicuma mission, in Ganda Municipality, 201 kilometres away from Benguela City.
