Angola: Coqueiros Stadium Hosts International Athletics Meeting

Luanda — The Coqueiros Stadium, in Luanda, will host on Wednesday the international meeting, an athletics race disputed after the yearend competition (Saint Sylvester), also held in this city.

The international meeting, with highlight on the 5000-metre race, counts on the participation of the yearend competition athletes, who, according to the regulation, are obliged to compete to avoid losing some of the prizes conquered in the Saint Sylvester.

In the race of the last day of 2012, Ethiopian Atsedu Tesfaye conquered the 57th edition of the end of the year competition, after timing 28:17 minutes.

In the females category, Kenyan Jeptoo Priscah won the race with 32:31 minutes.

While the the Angolan athletes Rafael Epesse of 1º de Agosto, in the 23rd position (31:24), and Ernestina Paulino at the 16th position (35:18), were the best Angolans.
